Mid-Century Leather & Walnut Armchairs in the Style of Jens Risom - a Pair

These two Mid-Century Modern chairs were designed and manufactured circa 1950s-1960s. They are crafted in the manner of the Danish American designer, Jens Risom, who infused American Modernism with elements of Scandinavian design. The chairs are comprised of a walnut frame with a caramel, brick-red leather upholstery and leather-padding for the arms. Their corners are notably rounded, balancing their straight, sleek lines with a softer edge. Consistent with their age and use, the chairs' leather has variations in tone. One chair has a visible tear on the seat upholstery and along seat piping, but these can be patched up. Overall, these chairs are in fair condition. They are comfortable and nicely worn-in.
