Early 20th Century Chinese Lacquered Panel Tables - a Pair

These two Chinese low tables were created in the Early 20th Century. They are comprised of wood panels mounted as floating tabletops. The panels are coated with coromandel lacquer and designed with intricately incised patterns. Floral still-life imagery adorns the center and is framed by carved bands, which are decorated with curling flowers and stems. The panels are set into molded wood rectangular frames with an elegant beaded apron and culminate in hoof feet. Whether used as side tables or as coffee tables, this pair of beautiful woodwork will add warmth and subtle color & adornment to your space.
