18th Century American Chippendale Tilt-Top Tea Table

This American Chippendale tilt-top tea table was handcrafted in the 18th Century from mahogany wood. It's comprised of a beveled circular top and vase-form pedestal tripod base that culminates in snake feet. A "bird-cage" contraption allows for the tabletop to tilt and lock into place, a convenient mechanism for easy storage. The mahogany wood is beautifully preserved with very minor surface scratches. The tone of the wood is warm reddish-brown.
