Midcentury Dunbar Sideboard by Edward Wormley

This exceptional sideboard was designed by Edward Wormley for Dunbar's New World Collection. Wormley's modernist design can be characterized as making use of simple surfaces and silhouettes while exemplifying fine woodwork.

This sideboard is bleach mahogany with a smooth surface. The top segment is comprised of three drawers. The middle measures 36 1/2 inches, while the two flanking it each measure 16 inches. Those two drawers are slatted and ideal for utensils and cutlery. The bottom segment of the sideboard is comprised of three cabinets, with ample storage space in their shelves and door compartments. They are accompanied by their original brass keys. The middle opens to a series of four beautifully crafted drawers with rounded edges. The two marginal doors have a piano hinge. Finally, the base is lined with a band of leather in a Naples yellow hue similar to that of the mahogany.

72" width, 20 1/2" depth, 35" height.
